Jeroen Krabbé’s voyage

After the recordings of Voyage I didn’t have to think long about whom to ask for a contribution to my new album, I was sure Jeroen Krabbé was the right person to ask.  We met a few years ago for the first time at KunststofTV where he talked about his paintings. Knowing that he is both actor, director and painter, he embodied the artist with the visual connection to this album.

I was curious to know if he wanted to do this and fortunately he reacted very positively, telling me that he has a strong connection to the French landscapes. He often hears music looking over the different sceneries, while painting. He also told me that I asked him something quite new, it was a reverse way of thinking about music: as a director you choose the music with the pictures, now I asked him to connect his paintings to my music. With personal texts and reverences to poetry and his paintings, I am very grateful for his personal contribution.
