Lavinia will receive the Dutch Music Prize 2009, this is the highest distinction for a classical musician in the Netherlands. She will receive the prize during the Zaterdagmatinee in the Concertgebouw Amsterdam by the Dutch Cultural Minister Ronald Plasterk. This will also be the release of her new CD Visions (Channel Classics).

Lavinia’s new CD “VISIONS” will be released on October 31st. This is her second solo-CD which she recorded with Channel Classics and includes works by Britten, Patterson, Byrnes, Yun and Takemitsu. Her previous CD “DIVERTISSEMENTS” has received numerous positive reviews, with “VISIONS” she will continu on promoting the many possibilities on the harp as a solo-instrument.

Lavinia performed as a soloist on March 8th. with the Concertgebouw Chamber Orchestra during the Sunday Morning Concert at the Grand Hall of the Concertgebouw in Amsterdam. She performed the Debussy-Danses and the Ravel-Introduction et Allegro with conductor Marco Boni.
